TaylorMade have been leaders in clubmaking for many years. There was especially a huge splash around TaylorMade’s RocketBallz range when it launched at the start of the year 2012. The TaylorMade RBZ Ironsare made for the mid to high-handicap golfers who want more distance and forgiveness so that they can hit it farther and still have a good control on the ball flight.

The TaylorMade RBZ irons are designed to give the player maximum ballspeed and pinpoint accuracy. My swing never seems to be the same on consecutive strokes as much as I'd like, so having that little bit off leeway was something I really thought would help my game. I noticed the flight path of my ball flying extremely straight and I was hitting the correct distances that I had hoped for. The solid feel of the clubs results in a high degree of confidence for me.

And you will notice that these clubs induce a small draw, which is really nice. Other clubs like the Callaway (we say the popular callaway X-24 irons) tend to have a much larger offset which results in a full-fledged hook if you typically hit the ball fairly straight like me. The lighter feel and shape of the heads make this iron easy to align to the ball. Once you see that you can slow down your swing and get just as much distance, or more, than you did with your previous irons, you will find that your shot making ability will improve.

You do grab some turf if you do not hit the ball first, contrary to my later clubs which slide under the ball if you hit it a few mm's behind it. I’m not saying they are “hard to hit”, but for a High Handicaper, there are easier to hit and more forgiving golf sale out there. I noticed the flight path of my ball flying extremely straight and I was hitting the correct distances that I had hoped for. The solid feel of the clubs results in a high degree of confidence for me.

What I like about these club most is the rewarding "feedback" when you hit it in the middle of the face; you feel like you just destroyed the ball. Your sole is not as wide as the S9 or Ping G20 Irons. From small, compact short-irons, through deep undercut-cavity mid irons, and large hollow long irons, each iron is designed to promote the proper trajectory and distance gapping. It makes for a really nice sight line down the shaft and the same comfort most of us know from standard clubs at the address.
