I was skeptical with the Ping Anser Forged Irons at first but after playing a dozen rounds now I am very comfortable with the line and the club really does move through the turf with ease. I tryed other forged irons from Mizuno and Callaway, and while they are great forged irons they are also harder to hit consistently. The
ping anser irons give you a great blend between forged feel and cast forgiveness.
The forged, multi-metal design, of the Ping Anser Forged Irons combine an 8620 steel body, a dense tungsten sole, and machined grooves for unequaled forged-iron feel and forgiveness. The entire head is then machined, the face is milled flat, the grooves are cut, and the four cavities are milled into the back of the iron. Its hollow-sole cavity softens feel and positions the CG for higher-launching shots.
The
cheap anser forged irons are an excellent choice for a lower handicap player looking for great feel and playability with a softer feel, good feedback and good workability in a forged iron. These clubs are truely built with quality, you can tell the first time you hold them in your hands they are really well made. The look is a cross between a classic forged iron with the thin lines and narrow sole and a cast iron with a little thicker top line and a wider sole.
The G20′s look to be building on the very successful
cheap ping g15 irons. The cavity of these irons features a very similar look to the G15's but with a new soft layer on the back to help with sound, feel and vibrations. The steel shafts also look new, with more evenly spaced steps than the traditional AWT shafts, with a unique and interesting feel.
Ping g20 irons feature a new Custom Tuning Port which expands perimeter weighting and increases MOI. The thinner face of the g20 Iron helps position weight to the toe for added forgiveness. The wider sole provides a higher launch angle. Strong lofts and a low center of gravity produce long shots with a high trajectory and maximum forgiveness.
