Famously, the national championship is meant to identify the best players, not embarrass them. But how does that apply to a 6' 3" folk hero with floppy hair, a penchant for wearing his emotions on his sleeve (especially after he dries his tears on said portion of his shirt) and a Ping G20 Pink Driver? Still, skeptics used to say that Bubba would never win, period. Too unconventional, too jumpy. But he did. Then they said he'd never win a major. He did that, too. Whatever the challenge, Bubba figures it out. Behold, the survivor.
