what do you think about him playing this part?

there is only one other person that i think could have filled this roll and that's steven straight. but i'm happy with taylor. yes he's young, but jake is young in the first book. i think he has the look too. dark skin and eyes and hair. he's too damn cute i swear..lol

Im not a Jacob fan but im going to find it hard not to like him on screen because he's so damn cute !
He's just about how I'd imagined Jake just a bit cuter LOL

movie magic in todays time is AMAZING. he won't have any problems playing jake as he grows up. not only that since they aren't real sure if they are going to tape new moon....he's already hitting the gym working out to get buff.

the guy..the giant guy in harry potter.. look how they did him looking huge and the dude aint big at all. it can be done. if they change people mid movie.. it will ruin it. i hate when movies make things and all new people are in it. it's not the same.

Good point. Hopefully he will hit puberty by then cuz his little boy voice isn't gonna cut it as Jake haha

Holy Hot Werewolf...Steven Strait would be good in that role....

but I have taken a liking to Taylor Lautner! he's so special...he fits the part of Jacob all the way and he's so young(age appropriate for this movie!) and has a sweet face and seems like such a good kid much like Jacob is in Twilight...now if they make New Moon and so on he'll have to be a little more of a badass which I believe he's capable of! ...I'll be glad when he turns 18 so I can ogle him...he's such a cutie!

and I agree with you Tamran I also hate when they do sequels and don't use the same people...it's kinda like watching a soap opera when they just up and replace am actor like no one will notice lol!

oh they better use the same people...they wont get as much viewers if they switched the roles. Like, did you guys see the mummy 3? i hated it because they changed the wife..
