| Ok I wasnt feeling this whole twilight thing but thats all my wife could talk about lol so she asked me to read them and now i am a fan (go team Alice) but i have to ask are there any other fans of the Vampire Chronicles on here. Yes im a little older and i guess they were the Vampire books of my time but if you just like to read and you havent read them give them an honest try. Also if you read them dont forget The Mayfair Witches tie into them. Other than that ill go for now but remind you Always and i do mean Always bet on Alice. | |

| I am a huge Anne Rice fan.... but the Twilight Series can't be easily compared to Anne Rice....
Either way I love both books...I have read the entire Vampire Chronicles, as well as Pandora, and The Witching Hour Series by Anne Rice....but with Twilight you get something that Anne Rice never thought to write, and that is the one thing that most people seem to have as a fantasy and that is falling for a vampire. | |

| I agree that they are totally different. I also see how they are geared toward different generations. Both series are great books. I was really let down when i found out anne rice was done with the chronicles. | |

| OMG! I never thought I would hear My hubby say he was a fan of Twilight. I may pass out...lol...... he was "I'm not reading that, Vampires don't this and that.." I knew he'd like them if he read them. Now I have to read the anne rice books, cause that was the deal. | |
