Titleist Brand Ambassador Ben Curtis is off to an impressive start in 2012, having already earned four top-14 finishes including his victory a few weeks ago at the Valero Texas Open. Relying upon the Pro V1x golf ball and a complete bag of Titleist golf clubs for every shot, Ben Curtis demonstrated confidence, control and determination to capture the Valero Texas Open for his fourth career PGA Tour title, which was the first on the PGA Tour by a player using a full set of Titleist AP1 irons including Titleist AP1 712 Irons and cheap ap2 712 irons.

AP1 irons are the most forgiving model in the Titleist irons lineup, with key improvements in the latest generation ( titleist ap1 712 irons Series) adding forgiveness without sacrificing shot control. Key improvements to the new AP1 irons add forgiveness without sacrificing shot control - factors previously thought to be mutually exclusive because of their more efficient, high MOI design while also featuring a more traditional appearance with a progressive blade length throughout the set.

"For me it's all about performance, what are my misses like?" says Curtis, who ranked first in Greens in Regulation at the Valero Texas Open. "The cheap golf clubs are more forgiving so they give you a little more room for error."

Appearance improvements to the AP1 irons include a new beveled topline and smoother hosel blend for a traditional shape with a more precise address profile. The AP1 irons also feature progressive blade lengths throughout the set for a confidence-inspiring look in the longer irons and increased playability in the shorter irons.

Of course, the 712 AP1's are an improvement from the cheap ap1 712 irons. Improved feel, forgiveness, looks (thin top line, more "traditional" looks, etc.). The long irons are easier to hit, which could help improve your game, which would lower your handicap. On the flip side, the 710 AP1's are still a great set of clubs. They're still forgiving, have a great feel, looks, etc. Just make sure you purchase them through an authorized rep. Getting fit for your clubs is very important as well. A properly fit set of irons will help lower anyone's handicap.
