So I just finished the first book in the Black Dagger Brotherhood Series...Dark Lover. They are by J.R. Ward...Tam recommended these books to me.. (not sure if you remember Tam on myspace..lol).. but I just have to say that I LOVED it...very adult though if you are into that! But I am starting the next book in the series as well...i will read them all..i really like them a lot...

yep the first one is dark lover. boy it's some good dark loving too! be warned this is a grown up romance...haha. tho i don't think that jr's sex scenes are over the top. hell there aren't many honestly. so much more to the brother's story...soooooooooo much more. i really really love this series.

Ive started Lover Eternal and I love it already...its hard to put down just like the first one..i don't have a choice sometimes because i have to read other stuff for english and psych class..but i just want to read it all day long..lol..

What are these books about?

vampires!!!!!!!

it's a ban of vampire brothers.. not in the since they are "brothers" but they fight to keep their people alive. they were picked or are bred to be in teh brotherhood to defend who they are against the lessers. the lessers are the bad people that try to kill off the vampires. they have no souls. however there is the romance involved. each book is on a different brother and trying to find their mate. so you have the sex scenes and what not. but there aren't alot. most of the time it's trying to figure it all out.. i love them how does this work and then the action of all the other things that are going on. the lessers trying to kill them off. the vampires living among the humans. you do have to read in order tho. as the story on the brotherhood and them fighting and things of that nature all flow together.

each has a curse so to say. not a power i guess. but in the end it's really a power they can use to fight. they were created by their "God" and have to answer to her. yes it's a HER! hahaha so then you have that place as well cause they live differently and they are all women born to serve the vampires. which they as well are vampires..haha

the lessers are like the devil you could say. since their souls are taken and they live forever. but like vampires there is a way to die. it's all so very interesting..haha. that's why i love them. even tho they are romance there is a STORY to it all. her vampires are different from SM's. they are born and turn into one later in life. they must mate with a vampire cause they have to have a vampire mates blood. they can drink from a human but it doesn't make them as strong.

for me dark lover starts it all. the love or sex scenes are great! but for me the books and story get better and better with each book! girl i think you would like them i really do. if say you got dark lover and it didnt' "do" anything for you.. i'd keep going. cause they get better...their story and what they have to do gets better.

gahhh i just realized how much i do love these series and the brothers. JR is an amazing writer i think and the twists she puts in there are something. there are humans involved as well. not to give away anything but 2 of the brothers fall for humans. once you mate... that's it..ahaha so then you have to find other ways for things to work. yeah... i love these books..haha try them out and see how you like it. the first book is the oldest and i think i got it online for like $4! that was it for me.. i was hooked.

i agree tam...im halfway through lover eternal and the books do get better and better..

oh i know right?! i just love this series! do you have a fav brother yet? haha well maybe you should wait until you get done to decide. for me i was like oh i love you and then the next book would come. tho i do so love me some V. for so many reasons and when you get to his book i think my "other" side will show you why..aha
