first of all i've had my eye on one of these books for a while but i never got it..lol. i'm real bad about not buying books in the young adult section, for fear that they just won't be what i want them to be...lol but one day i saw this other book in the new book part of the store so i picked it up and read the back and was like ohh now that's cool. so i read the first 3 pages and i was laughing. so i got it. then i got home read it and loved it (tho it is a written a little different) and realized at the end of the book it said that people from this book and her other book (the one i had never gotten) would cross over in a future book. i was like well i be damn! so off i go to get that other book..lol one thing about them is that you don't have to read them in order. but i would read both before the new one comes out...................

this is the first book.
Quincie Morris has never felt more alone. Her hybrid-werewolf first love threatens to embark on a rite of passage that will separate them forever. And just as she and her uncle are about to debut Austin’s red hot vampire-themed restaurant, a brutal murder leaves them scrambling for a chef.
Can Quincie transform the new hire into a culinary dark lord before opening night? Will Henry Johnson be able to wow the crowd in fake fangs, a cheap cape, and red contact lenses? Or is there more to this earnest fresh face than meets the eye?
As human and preternatural forces clash, a deadly love triangle forms and the line between predator and prey begins to blur. Who’s playing whom? And how long can Quincie play along before she loses everything?

this is the second book. i did like this one a bit better than the first.
At last, Miranda is the life of the party: all she had to do was die. Elevated and adopted by none other than the reigning King of the Mantle of Dracul, Miranda goes from high-school theater wannabe to glamorous royal fiend overnight.
Meanwhile, her reckless and adoring guardian angel, Zachary, demoted to human guise as the princess’s personal assistant, has his work cut out for him trying to save his girl’s soul and plan the Master’s fast-approaching Death Day gala.

once i got done reading them both i realized how they will merge together. there were also little things in each book that referred to other. but like i said i don't think you have to read in order. they are about different people. i read eternal first. they aren't big books either. i had the first one read in a day and the second in about 3 days. only cause i wasn't feeling well. i can't wait to see how she brings everything together from both. tho i do have a slight idea at this point..lol
